Letter to Young Historians
Hi, Young Historians,
As we dive into history, we come across a time that was filled with great hardship and turmoil, but also heroic acts of bravery and sacrifice. This time is known as World War II.
WWII was a significant event that shaped the world in many ways. It was the largest and deadliest battle fought in the history of the world, and many people and places are still dealing with the consequences of the war to this day.
This issue is divided into two parts: the Atlantic and Pacific. In the Atlantic section, you will read about unsung heroes and the acts of bravery that helped the Allies win the war. In the Pacific section, you will learn about how the United States mishandled many situations and made a decision to drop two deadly bombs on populated Japanese cities.
No one is perfect when it comes to war, and in this issue, we hope to highlight the individuals who made an impact while also looking at how the Allies made bad decisions.
It is my hope that you walk away from this issue knowing that one person can make a difference and how one decision, good or bad, can change the course of history forever.
Cheers,
Editor-in-Chief
