A Letter for Young Historians

Dear Young Historians,

This topic is a big deal for us. If you have been with us for a while, you may have noticed that we typically don’t cover events past World War II. So, when our team decided to write about South Africa, we knew we needed to push our “cap” date closer to the present day.

In this issue, you will learn some incredible things about the amazing country of South Africa. But like any country, South Africa’s past is not always pretty. Understanding the histories of other countries—both the good and the bad—is important. By learning about the past, we can shape a better future!

I hope this issue inspires you to make a difference today. One kind deed or one act of bravery can change the course of history for the better.
